British Airways is introducing no-cost fast onboard connectivity via space-based partnership

Travelers on this carrier can soon enjoy fast wifi onboard free of charge following a recent deal with Elon Musk's communications company.

Free and High-speed Wifi Across the Board

The airline stated that this free, “reliable and lightning-fast” connectivity provision via Starlink will be accessible to travelers flying coach, business, or first class from next month.

Widespread Implementation Across Several Airlines

The umbrella organization of British Airways, International Airlines Group, stated it had reached an deal involving the satellite firm to offer wifi services on over 500 planes across the group's operators, such as Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, and the low-cost airline.

Seamless Wifi from Boarding through Arrival

The airline explained that the rollout for the technology formed part of a multi-billion pound “transformation” initiative that will provide smooth internet coverage for travelers starting at boarding to landing, including when traveling across seas or far-off locations.
